HAKI Africa together with families of Abshir Garo Ali and Jackson Njue held a press brief to address the disappearance of their kin.
Abshir Garo Ali aged 27 years and Jackson Njue 32 years, were abducted on July 24th 2021 at Ukunda, Kwale County by people in uniform and who identified themselves as police officers.

The organization together with the families urged the government to produce the two in court and incase it’s not them, then assist families in investigating their abduction.

HAKI Africa noted that in the month of September 2021 alone, 5 cases of enforced disappearances have been recorded.
