Youth Clean Up Activities
Every person has a duty to cooperate with State organs and other persons to protect and conserve the environment.
HAKI Africa has been joining hands with youth groups from different locations in Mombasa for clean up exercises at chief camps and public dispensaries in order to support the country’s environmental conservation efforts.
During the exercise, area chiefs sensitized the youth groups on the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. Youths were also encouraged to promote peace and security at the community level.
Equally, youths pledged their commitment in promoting Covid-19 awareness. They were also encouraged to wash hands frequently, wear masks in public places, observe physical distance, avoid crowded places and stay home as much as possible.
As an organisation, we will continue engaging youths at the local level to ensure they actively participate in taking their rightful place in the community.
HAKI Africa is grateful for the generous support of European Union in Kenya and Search for Common Ground this far in support of the youth.
