HAKI Africa in partnership with the Chief Kadhi’s office, Public International Law & Policy Group (PILPG), Kituo Cha Sheria-Legal Advice Centre and the Law Society of Kenya Mombasa branch, launched a paralegal training of trainers for community women to address issues of gender based violence at the Coast Region.

HAKI Africa is working towards strengthening grassroots communities on legal matters and rule of law by working with the women it had trained as counselors and later on as paralegals to help in solving cases affecting our communities The project was making progress toward the ultimate goal of empowering women by equipping them with legal knowledge for the purposes of overcoming gender based violence and other women’s-related issues and to work towards a more just and equal world in general; creating a network of paralegals, academics and political activists through workshops, forums and training
