As an organisation that believes in human rights, constitutionalism and rule of law, HAKI Africa strives to enlighten communities to be at the forefront of daily struggles for social justice and equity amongst all. We find it imperative to empower the people on human rights approaches as we view this as the best and only way to ensure social parity. This belief is fortified by article 19 (2) of the Constitution of Kenya which provides that:
The purpose of recognising and protecting human rights and fundamental freedoms is to preserve the dignity of individuals and communities and to promote social justice and the realisation of the potential of all human beings.
As a result, HAKI Africa has designed its thematic areas around the standard and internationally accepted classification of human rights. These are as follows
