This year, HAKI Africa, with the support of ForumCiv Eastern & Southern Africa and its partners, commemorated World Environment Day 2024 with a vibrant procession from ABSA Bank Round-About to Madhubah beach. The theme for this year, #GenerationRestoration, aligns perfectly with HAKI Africa’s commitment to climate justice and the urgent need to protect our planet.

Our activities in Madhubah focused on educating the public about land pollution and its dire consequences. By understanding the impact of our actions, we can work together to protect our land, water, and air from pollution through proper waste management. The event, graced by H.E. DG Francis Thoya of the Mombasa County Government, sent a strong message to the community about taking proactive steps to maintain a clean and healthy environment.
